About the award-winning design of the Jura Impressa A9

Jura Impressa A9 P.E.P One-Touch Automatic Espresso Machine (Renewed)

The Jura Impressa A9 comes in piano black. It resembles the Jura A1, but it also has some similarities with the ENA Micro 1 and the ENA Micro 9 as well.

This is a coffee machine that will be a great, discrete ornament for your kitchen or office space. It measures 9.4’’ x 17.5’’ x 12.7’’ and weighs 23 pounds. Its design will provide you with the comfort of use that you need from a coffee maker.

The bean hopper of this machine is located on its top, and the water reservoir is on the side of the machine. Both of them are easily accessible. The tray of the machine is easy to remove and clean, and the coffee spouts are adjustable in the range of 2.2 to 5.4 inches.

How does the Jura Impressa A9 brew your coffee?

To get your desired coffee drink, select one of the drinks from the menu on the TFT display. The drinks have a picture next to them, so getting the drink you want will be easy.

This coffee maker uses a grinder with four adjustable grind sizes and conical burrs. Unfortunately, the boiler temperature cannot be adjusted like on some higher-end Jura machines (the Z6, for example). However, the drinks are very hot once they get extracted. On the other hand, the milk quantity, coffee strength, and the specialties available are programmable.

For milk drinks, you’ll need a container for the milk in which you’ll put the frothing tube included in the box. You cannot regulate the temperature of the froth, but the froth will be sweet and creamy because the machine uses Jura’s Fine Foam technology.

In case you want to use ground coffee, there’s a bypass doser for that on the A9.

Cappuccino doppio and latte macchiato doppio – what kind of drinks are these?

With the Jura Impressa A9, you have the option to enjoy a cappuccino doppio or macchiato doppio. These drinks are twice as strong as the cappuccino and the macchiato respectively.

Is cleaning the coffee maker a struggle?

Cleaning the Jura Impressa A9 is easy. The machine has a cleaning, rinsing, and descaling program for the coffee system and a cleaning program for the milk system. It is also very easy to clean its tray by rinsing it. To improve the taste of your coffee and minimize the need for descaling, you can use a water filter on the A9.

  1. What’s the best coffee beans and the best ground coffee for the A9? Read something about oily coffees or something, not sure…

  2. I wouldn’t doubt Jura, but I see why you rated it with 3.5 stars. There’s nothing wrong with it as far as performance is concerned, though, right? Or should I be aware of such kinds of issues as well?

  3. How effective are the cleaning tablets for the Jura A9? Is it okay to clean the pipes with vinegar? Trying to calculate the additional costs here, I like good coffee, but additional costs… I dislike them :))))))))
